Information Collection and Use

Data We Store Locally

TempMail stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's storage API:

• Your current temporary email address
• Emails received in your temporary inbox
• Extension preferences (such as auto-refresh settings)

External API Communication

TempMail communicates with our temporary email service API (https://suksma.id/api.php) to:

• Generate temporary email addresses
• Retrieve incoming emails
• Fetch email content

The API only processes temporary email addresses and does not collect, store, or link any personal identifying information about you.

Permissions Explanation

Storage Permission

Used to save your temporary email address and inbox data locally in your browser for continuity between sessions. This ensures you don't lose your temporary inbox when closing the browser.

Notifications Permission

Used to alert you when new emails arrive in your temporary inbox. This is optional and you can disable notifications in your browser settings at any time.

Tabs Permission

Used to manage the extension popup interface when you interact with notifications, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Host Permissions

Required to communicate with our temporary email API service. No browsing data, website content, or personal information is accessed or collected.

Data Sharing

Data Retention

Temporary email data is stored locally in your browser until you delete it or generate a new email address. You have complete control over data retention:

• Delete individual emails at any time through the extension interface
• Generate a new email address to replace the current one
• Clear all stored data by uninstalling the extension

Your Rights and Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your temporary emails in the extension
• Delete: Remove emails or the entire inbox at any time
• Export: Copy email content as needed
• Reset: Generate new email addresses whenever you want
• Remove: Uninstall the extension to permanently delete all local data

Security

We take security seriously. All communications with our API are conducted over HTTPS to ensure data transmission security. Since all data is stored locally on your device, you benefit from Chrome's built-in security features.

Children's Privacy

TempMail does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The extension is designed for general use and does not target children.
